The Cotes-du-Rhone is from Caves Saint-Pierre who have been growing and producing wine in the Southern Rhone since 1898. Their estate lies in the heart of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, from which they produce two reds and a white, but the relationships they have with other vignerons in the region have allowed them to expand their winemaking to include Gigondas, Tavel and many others, including this Cotes du Rhone.

A blend of 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 5% Carignan.

Made from vines that are no less than fifty years old, this is a wonderful example of Côtes du Rhône. The careful selection and blending of four components delivers a palate which is full, yet elegant, possessing an alluring depth of complexity. Dark brick red in colour with bright purple hues, aromas of dark cherry and raspberries work in harmony with a long palate incorporating hints of caramel and mocha.

The grapes were separated from the bunches before being crushed, and the extraction techniques and
pumping over ensured that the finest elements were extracted. The wines were carefully matured in the
storehouses, in vats to give them the best preparation for bottling and to enhance the quality of their flavour.
