Grape Variety – 100% Piquepoul Blanc
Winemaking – Night mechanical harvest to preserve the grapes quality potential. Cooling of the harvest after a soft de-stalking and breaking of the grapes, followed by soft pressing and juices selection.
Limited sulphites addition with fermentation temperature controlled.
Grapes from different vineyards are separately vinified to keep each vineyard typicality/terrior to produce a consistent style. Aged on fine yeast lees to provide a smooth,creamy maouth-feel.
Tasting Notes – Light golden with green glints. At first the nose shows exotic fruits aromas as well as mineral notes. Swirl in the glass to reveal even greater floral notes. The palate is strong on fruit characters, followed by well balanced mid-palate. The after palate offers a floral nuances with lychees notes with the finish leaving a long-lasting candied fruit sweetness.
Wine and Food Pairing – The Picpoul de Pinet cuvee fits naturally with fish, seafood and shellfish in particular.
