PAULETT GRENACHE ROSE
94 Points Australian Wine Showcase Magazine
The Paulett Greanche Rose is filled with smells and tastes of strawberries and cream, a hint of vanilla and finishes with a refreshing savoury finish. There is a punch of Apricot and stone fruits on the nose.
At Paulett’s the final vineyard harvested in 2018 was their 1940s old vine Grenache. The late harvest lead to the full fruit flavour. Normally they would expect 400‐450mm of rain during winter but they received only 297mm with another 105mm during the growing season of October to December.
The non‐irrigated vineyards came into their own this vintage withstanding periods of reduced soil moisture and tolerating mild vine stress delivering a reduced yield, but with a greater intensity of flavours.
It is a vibrant Wild Salmon colour and would pair well with a Tarragon Creamy Chicken or Favourite Antipasto Platter
The video wine tasting was filmed at the stunning Rapid Bay on the Fleurieu Peninsula. This is a wonderful scenic destination great for a spot of beach fishing, picnic with friends or to watch the stunning sunset with a glass of Rose. Just over an hour from Adelaide it makes a great day trip or stay a night in the camp grounds just off the beach.
