Reschke R-Series Shiraz
The Reschke Shiraz comes from Limestone Coast Vineyards, predominantly from Coonawarra.
Reschke’s close relationship with Coonawarra began in 1906 with the establishment of a prime Hereford stud in the heart of the region. This cattle grazing heritage is reflected in the Reschke bull logo, and the names of the premium Reschke wines: Bos, Vitulus, Bull Trader.
Burke Reschke, the fourth generation to work the land in Coonawarra, started developing vineyards and growing grapes for other wineries on the Reschke estate in 1989. The resulting fruit was so exceptional it was coveted by many wineries and used in some of Australia’s iconic wines.
This Reschke Shiraz is an intense fruit driven wine with abundant bright black fruit flavours and a rich round palate. Giving a lingering dark red fruit, spice and subtle oak complete this Shiraz that is ready for immediate enjoyment, and will continue to improve over the next 10 years.

“Magenta in colour, the nose oozes plushness (if a nose can do such a thing). Chocolate and plums, black cherries and some tobacco leaf. Good early complexity here. Seductive texture, this lingers beautifully, but it does fade in intensity just a touch towards the finish. Satiny tannins. Delicious now, but it certainly has a future.”
Ken Gargett, Winepilot
This is sweetly fruited and beautifully fragrant on the nose showing Black Doris plum, floral, subtle spice and almond characters. The palate is equally charming with ripe fruit intensity and silky texture, leading to a lengthy comforting finish.
