Congratulations to Taylor’s Wines, a South Australian local legend, for winning the top prize at the 32nd annual MUNDUS VINI Grand International Wine Award held in Germany. Taylor’s Wines Jaraman Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley Chardonnay, sold for just $26 a bottle, won the gold medal and the “Best of Show Australian White” award, as the best drop in the world.
About The Wine
This exceptional wine has intense lifted aromas of melon and white peach, with subtle savory notes from the French oak. The well-balanced palate delivers classic flavors of melon and peach, along with creamy notes from the lees stirring. The wine has a restrained, tight structure overall, yet still displays a subtle measure of creaminess. Making it an ideal accompaniment to fresh seafood mollusks, such as oysters, mussels, or clams, straight from the sea.
The Jaraman Chardonnay is a blend of grapes from the Adelaide Hills and Clare Valley wine regions, showcasing the best of both regions in the finished blend. This wine is an exceptional value at under $20 a bottle, offering bright and expressive qualities that make Australian wines loved worldwide. It won the prestigious title of “Best of Show Australian White,” beating over 7,500 wines from 46 countries at the MUNDUS VINI Grand International Wine Award.

Retro Wines The Jackie Chardonnay is a vibrant flavoursome wine with a buttery salted caramel on the palate. It has overtones of stone fruits and is slightly nutty. A favourable season that allowed all vineyards to produce strong yields and high quality, This is a stand-out wine with a lively palate entwined with a smooth mouth feel. The Jackie has a smooth and nutty personality and is always loved!
We filmed the tasting earlier vintage of Retro Wines The Jackie at One Little Sister in Normanville. We highly recommend the breakfast but great in the evening or for a spot of lunch. What a sensational little slice of paradise known affectionately to locals as ‘Normy’. It is a popular seaside resort town with long sandy beaches and only an hour from Adelaide. Located near the great McLaren Vale wine region. It is a beautiful white sandy beach that you can stroll along to nearby Carrickalinga or Lady Bay.
