Tempranillo wines are ruby red in colour and have the aromas and flavours of berries, plum, tobacco, vanilla, leather and herb. The grape is low in both acidity and sugar content and is often blended with other grapes including Grenache, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Tempranillo is a black grape grown to make full-bodied red wines.
