The hand selected grapes were crushed in small open fermenters and pumped over twice daily (for 7 days) to maximise flavour and tannin extraction. The wine was then pressed off its skins and matured in 50% new and one year old French oak barriques for 16 months.
This Shiraz is deep red in colour with vibrant aromas of lifted blackberry fruit, pepper, red liquorice and a touch of vanilla. The palate shows ripe, fleshy fruit with silky tannins driving a long finish.
